HOMEMADE ICING OR CONFECTIONERS OR POWDERED SUGAR.

You did not have any plan of making cake.
.but you made it...now you want to decorate  your cake..but you do not have icing  sugar at home..before  you run to the market...here I am going to share how to make  Icing Sugar at home. .yes dear..I am not joking..now you can make your own icing sugar at home using just two ingredients: normal sugar and cornflour or cornstarch.

To make frosting, royal icing, and macaroon , there is one essential ingredient, icing sugar. Icing sugar is also known as confectioner’s sugar or powdered sugar. It’s very easy to make powdered sugar at home in your blender.

PREPARATION TIME -2 MINUTES
MAKING TIME -5 MINUTES
SERVINGS -2CUPS

INGREDIENTS

White Normal Sugar-1 cup
Cornflour or Cornstarch-1 tbsp(if you want to avoid cornflour. .then can add Arrowroot Powder instead of cornflour)

METHOD
Pour white  sugar into a blender..(make sure your blender is enough  dry otherwise  moisture  from the last rinse will make the sugar stick to the sides. ) Blend on high speed for 30 seconds  or  until it is a fine, fluffy powdered sugar.

Open the lid of blender and  add 1tbsp cornflour or cornstarch ( Cornstarch is added to prevent clumping).  Close the lid and blend it again for 1 minute on high speed.....then take a look into the blender...if powdered  sugar flies up into the blender and there is no visible  crystal  then you are done..or otherwise  blend it again on high speed  for 30 seconds  more.(Don't  blend it for long)

Sift the sugar through a strainer into a container, and you’re done.

If you are not using  the sugar immediately. .then store it in airtight container. Store it away from heat. Sift it just before using it in a recipe.

Now you can make your frosting on cake by using this home made Icing Or confectioners  or Powdered sugar.
