1 Minute Microwave Orange Mug Cake With Chocolate Ganache

1 Minute Microwave Orange Mug Cake With Chocolate Ganache.

You want to treat your family with a homemade cake....but you don't  have time to bake...don't worry. ..just go through  this recipe....I can make you assure your family will love this 1 minute microwave  orange mug cake.It is so delicious.

Preparation Time: 4 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 minutes
Makes: 2-3 servings

Ingredients
1 egg (If you want to avoid egg, just add 1/4 cup milk instead of using egg....milk should be at room temperature  )
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Zest of 1 orange -1full orange
2 tablespoons orange juice
1/4 cup granulated sugar
6 tablespoons all purpose flour or maida
1tsp baking powder
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
A pinch of salt

METHOD

In a mixing bowl, place the egg or milk, oil and  vanilla essence.....whisk these together.

Add the orange zest, orange juice, lemon juice, and sugar and mix well to combine.

Add the flour and a pinch of salt, mix until combined.

Pour the batter into 2 or 3 mugs (number og mugs depend according to the size of mugs,1/2 of the mug should be filled  with  the  batter)

Place one mug at a time in the center of the microwave and cook for 1 minute High (means press Micro button  then press 1 minute  button  then press Start button )

The cake should be risen and still slightly gooey in the middle.

If still undercooked for your liking, cook it further in 10 second bursts in the microwave.

Make sure you use a large mug otherwise the mixture can overflow.

Repeat the steps with remaining  mugs.

Once cooked, remove mug from the microwave and allow to cool slightly. But be careful! The cup may be very hot.

Ice each cake with your favourite frosting!  And if you dont want to ice the cake with any frosting...it is also ok...the cake is very moist...you can also enjoy it without  any frosting. But my daughter  loves frosting. ...so just to make her happy...here, I've used chocolate  ganache  on top.

For the chocolate ganache  we need to have  1/2 cup dark chocolate  and 3tbsp cream.

Add chocolate in a microwave safe bowl.Melt the chocolate on Half power for approximately 30 seconds. ..stirring  until melted properly. Add the cream and mix thoroughly until smooth and glossy.Once the cake is cool, spread over the ganache.
