Fish Popcorn

               


                             
Fish Popcorn
 I had some fish fillets in fridge.....thought of making something new this time....but what???? Then my 6yrs old princess gave me this idea...."mom...we eat chicken popcorn. ..but popcorn can be made by fish also...this time you  make fish popcorn"....then i made this fish popcorn. ...Thanks to chutki for giving me this nice idea


Ingredients for Fish Marination

  • Fish Fillets-250 gm (cut into cubes)
  • Lemon Juice-2tbsp
  • Garlic powder-1tsp (u can use 1tsp  garlic juice instead of garlic powder. ..in that case...makr paste..then squeeze out the juice)
  • Soya sauce -1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper -1tsp
Ingredients for Batter
  • Flour-1/2cup
  • Corn Flour-1/4cup
  • Salt
  • Eggs White-2
  • Baking soda -1/2tsp
  • Black pepper-1/2tsp
  • Breadcrumb-1/2cup
  • Crushed Cornflakes-1/2cup
Ingredients for frying. .
Vegetable oil-2cup
Salt -1 pinch

Mathod:
  • Marinate the fish pieces with lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, black pepper and soya sauce...keep it in fridge for 1/2hr
  • Take a bowl...add flour, corn flour, baking soda, pinch of salt....mix it properly...add fish pieces. ..mix them until fish pieces get coated with this mixture properly
  • Now take a plate, mix breadcrumb and crushed Cornflakes and black pepper
  • Take one by one fish pieces..nd follow the process
  1. Dip the fish pieces in egg white...then coat with breadcrumb and Cornflakes mix
  2. Then dip the breaded fish again in the egg ans coat with breadcrumb and Cornflakes mix..double coating makes the fish popcorn more crunchy
  • Heat oil in kadai...add pinch of salt..(when you deep fry something. .add pinch of salt in oil....it absorb lees oil)
  • Add 4 to 5 coated fish pieces(according to the size of your kadai ) in oil...and deep fry on mefium flame until golden brown colour...Take them out from kadai...and place them on kitchen Paper
Your popcorn fish is ready to serve. ..serve hot with salads and sauce
